We have divided our tasks, I remain at home to take care of my ill mother and younger brother. Mary, my elder sister, engages in piecework to support the family. I feel trapped as the family is failing to cope with this situation. I have not been going to school because we have no money for my school needs such as uniforms, books andpens. When my mother was receiving money from the government, things were okay; she would buy things I needed for my school including food. Things turned for the worse after my mother became chronically ill, which coincided with the time when the money from government became irregular.
