Low-income people do not have as many opportunities to go to a good doctor when they get sick.

It’s high time the community (adults) realises that they are harming the environment that we children depend on to survive. As much as cutting trees and producing charcoal or having big industries that produce mass production goods are needed to earn a living, we should ensure we have another source of livelihood so that children can breathe fresh air and play in healthier environment

I did some piece works to raise money for my uniform and books but was unable to pay school fees. It was then that I had a relationship with a local married businessman who produces and trades in charcoal and also owns a grocery store. We lacked a lot of basic necessities at home and this man helped me with some of the things I needed. In 2019, I got pregnant with this baby, who is now 11 months old. I was disappointed with myself when I got pregnant because I thought my future was doomed and over. What is more painful is that the father to my child does not provide any financial or other forms of support. After giving birth, a teacher and my grandmother encouraged me to return to school. I am happy that I listened to them since I now have a second chance at education.
